Welcome to Your Website Design Review Guide

Thank you for partnering with us to create your new website! As you explore your first mockup, we want to guide you through the design elements that we’ll be focusing on and give you a sense of the type of feedback that will help us fine-tune the design to match your vision.

Using Sure Feedback, you can leave comments directly on specific parts of the design as you review. Below, you’ll find some points to consider as you click through the mockup.

Design Elements to Focus On

Fonts and Typography

The fonts we choose play a big role in how your brand is perceived. For this stage, we’ll be testing different font options to see what best aligns with your brand’s tone and style. Consider these questions as you review the typography:

  • How do the fonts feel in terms of your brand identity?
  • Do you prefer the look of serif fonts (more traditional and formal) or sans-serif fonts (modern and clean)?
  • Is the text easy to read and properly sized for both headings and body content?

Think about readability, the hierarchy of text (headings vs. body text), and how well the fonts match the personality of your brand.

Colors

While we’ll be using your established brand colors, this stage of design may also introduce accent colors to add depth and interest. As you review the color choices:

  • Do the primary and secondary colors complement your brand?
  • How do the colors make you feel? Do they evoke the right emotions (bold, calm, professional, etc.)?
  • Is the contrast between colors strong enough to ensure readability?

Feel free to let us know if you’d like to see more or less of a certain color, or if you’re open to creative interpretations of your palette.

Patterns and Textures

Patterns or subtle textures can add dimension to the design, giving it a more dynamic feel without overwhelming the content. Consider:

  • Do you like the idea of adding texture, or do you prefer a cleaner, more minimal design?
  • Are there any specific patterns or textures that feel relevant to your brand’s story or industry?

Let us know if you’d like to explore different textures or prefer to keep things sleek and simple.

Spacing and Layout

The layout determines how your content is structured and how easy it is to navigate the page. Look at how the content is spaced and organized:

  • Do you prefer a clean, minimal design with more white space, or would you like to see the page filled with more content?
  • Does the layout flow naturally? Does the placement of key elements (like images, buttons, and text) make sense?

This is a great time to provide feedback on how the information is presented and whether it feels balanced.

Imagery and Visuals

In this mockup, we’ve included placeholder images, but it’s important to think about the type of imagery that will best represent your brand moving forward. Ask yourself:

  • Would you prefer real photos of your team, products, or environment, or more stylized illustrations and graphics?
  • Does the layout provide enough room for visuals? How do the images complement the text?

We’ll be working with actual photos and graphics in later stages, so your thoughts on imagery now will help guide that process.

Buttons, Links, and Calls to Action

Buttons and calls to action (CTAs) are key elements that drive user engagement. As you look at the design, think about:

  • Do the buttons stand out enough to grab attention?
  • Are they the right size and color? Do they invite users to take action?
  • How do you feel about the tone of the CTA text? (e.g., formal vs. casual)

Your feedback on button design will help us create strong, compelling calls to action.

Consistency and Flow

Finally, as you explore the design, take note of how it feels overall. The flow and consistency from section to section are important for creating a seamless user experience. Consider:

  • Does the design feel cohesive? Do all sections work together to create a unified look?
  • Does the flow of information make sense as you navigate the page?

Let us know if there are areas that feel disconnected or if there’s anything you’d like to see handled differently.
