1How long will it take for my website to be ready?
It is our experience that a typical website design project takes about 6-12 weeks (not including holidays). This is a rough estimate and depends on a number of factors, including the complexity of your project, our current workload, material availability, and programming issues that might arise. We can expedite the timeline to meet your deadline but a rush charge will incur.
2Can I add more functionality to my website after it’s launched?
Yes! Your website will be robust and scalable, giving you an excellent base for the future.
3Can I add an online store or e-commerce to my website?
Sure thing! Just know that it will come at a cost.
4What if I want to sell memberships on my site?
Absolutely!
5What do you need from me before we begin?
We ask all our clients to complete our Web Design Questionnaire, which includes your brand information, logos, photos, copy, and any design inspiration you can find. Give us too much rather than too little!
6Where should I put all this information for you?
We'll create a shared Dropbox folder for you where you can deposit all these goodies for us. Or, if you use Google Drive, we can make that work too. Just let us know your preference.
7What is the best way to explain what I like and dislike, what I need and don't need?
The best way to explain what you like and dislike is with examples. Send us screenshots of the best parts of websites you love. Send us links with notes about sites that inspire you. With your brand guidelines, all this gives us a very clear picture of your vision.
8Are there any additional costs not included in the pricing?
That depends on variables specific to your website build. There may be an extra cost if you want add-ons like e-commerce or a membership system, etc. Don't worry if you aren't sure about this, we will help you make the decision and point you in the right direction. Plan to sign up for a Website Care Plan to cover updates, licensing, and support.
9Do I need a Website Care Plan?
Does your car need gas? Does your house need upkeep? Hell yes!!! So does your website! You can take responsibility for this yourself, but if you want us to do this for you, we've got your back!
10How many revisions do I get?
We don't believe in limiting our clients to any number of revisions. Let's face it, if you don't love what we do, then you're much less likely to refer us, and referrals are the basis of our business. However, we find that most of our clients make only tiny revisions once or maybe twice. We aim to create something you love so much that only minimal modifications will be necessary from your first review.
11What if I'm not happy with my website?
We are confident you will love your website because we have never had a displeased customer. We want you to be happy, so please send as much feedback as you can from minute 1, so there is no way you will have something you don't love.
12How will we communicate changes, edits, and requests during the process, and how often?

Throughout your project, you will hear from your dedicated project manager at least once per week, as part of a process we call ECEM (Every Client, Every Monday). Of course if Mondays aren’t good for you, we’d be happy to schedule a day and time that works best. During these calls, you’ll be kept up to date on the status of your project.

During the design and development phases, we provide a very easy-to-use on-page commenting system where you can insert your comments on the web pages directly, allowing us to see these comments and change requests easily. If you want to document changes in a Word doc, that works, too. You can also email us. We can also work in your task management system (Trello, Asana, Basecamp, Teams). Our job is to make your life easier!

13What is hosting? And why do I need it?

Web hosting is a service that makes your website's content accessible on the internet When you purchase a hosting plan, you are renting space on a physical server to store all the website's files and data. It’s like buying the land that you’re going to build your house on.

You will need a hosting plan, whether you choose to host with us or not.

14What if I already have hosting?
Just send over the login information for the site where you purchased your domain and hosting, and we will find the information we need. Check with your previous website developer if you do not have this information handy - they can help.
15What if I don't have a domain or hosting?
Don’t stress, we can sort this out for you.
16Do you have any recommended suppliers and service providers?
We sure do! We have an AMAZING network of people to recommend!!! Please drop us an email, and we'll put you in touch.
17If I don't purchase a website care plan and something happens to my website, can I reach out to you? Will you save me? How will you bill for this?
Keep in mind that we are typically booked out 2-3 months in advance, so we may not be able to help you immediately. But we will move heaven and earth (and have done this before) to save your bacon, but we will have to invoice you for our time. Our hourly rate is $150 for this ad hoc work.
18What can I expect to receive when you are done with my website?
When we complete your website, you'll receive a copy of The Website Owner's Manual. This document will help you keep track of all the essential details about your website, including logins, hosting setup, DNS records, routine maintenance, and answers to our most frequently asked questions. This will be helpful for continued success with your website should you wish to give it a go on your own.
