Fresh Look Friday, September 2020
Last month, we took a dive into the topic of lookalike audiences and how effective they are at reaching your target demographic. This marketing strategy reaches your ideal audience, even when they don’t know to be searching for you. We even shared simple steps, from setting up Facebook Business Manager, to developing your lookalike audience, to creating your ad.
This month, we want to discuss how you can begin to engage your organic search traffic on social media through high quality content. When you find yourself unable to wait for search engines to drive traffic to your site, but you don’t have the budget to acquire millions of clicks, you turn to content development. Want to see our 6 simple steps?
- Do your research- keyword research, that is. Finding specific phrases that your ideal clients are already using, that only answer one question at a time, is so important. You’ll save a ton of frustration if you use this approach.
- Now you create something with which you can utilize those keywords! Maybe a blog on your website? Make it informative, entertaining, or valuable in some way- but strategically insert keywords and wait for people to read it, leave comments, or share.
- After enough organic engagement with the blog, you’ll be able to deploy your newly-acquired social media marketing strategies. (Remember those lookalike audiences?) This step simply requires you to wait for enough traffic, so you have some info upon which you can build your strategy.
- If you haven’t already done so, set up Facebook Pixel. You’ll be able to track the people visiting your site, allowing you to remarket to them. An example of this would be when you go to a website and look at specific items- maybe even add them to your cart- and then find those exact items in an ad on your Facebook News Feed.
- Create your lookalike audience. We have more details on how to do that from August’s blog, here.
- Create and choose relevant ads to *consistently* show to your lookalike audience.
We hope to continue to demystify the process of creating, maintaining, and marketing your online presence. Have you implemented the Facebook Pixel with your website?
Now, we’d like to take a chance to talk about three businesses who have entrusted their online presence with Jason Hunter Design:
Snap Mask Sports
Adapting to life while experiencing an ongoing pandemic means that we are wearing masks for the foreseeable future. As resourceful and resilient humans, we always find ways to add comfort to an otherwise very uncomfortable time. That includes creating masks that actually allow us to remain active, and enjoy it! Snap mask Sports has a patent-pending snap and elastic system, and 100% of their products are made in the USA.
Not Free America
Mike Donovan works hard for the marginalized and disenfranchised communities of the United States. He hosts the weekly radio show, Not Free America, and he’s also written a book by the same title. His mission is to call Americans to “break free of our abusive relationship with our government. His book is available for pre-order, and is set to release on October 27, 2020.
Brewery Hours
Isn’t it basically a universal truth that breweries bring people together? It’s also true that breweries have really odd hours. There’s a new app out there that solves that problem! Now, breweries can claim their listings, offer exclusive specials, announce their events, and so much more. App users can get up-to-date hours, view new brewery locations, and even rate their experiences. But there’s more… download the app today to find out!
Are you wondering how you can develop high-quality content, integrate it with a social media marketing campaign, and drive up your organic traffic?
